Sports

Belmont has superb sports facilities in attractive grounds. There are six rugby or soccer pitches, three cricket squares (two artificial), five all-weather cricket nets, mini Astroturf for hockey and tennis, four netball courts and two rounders pitches, six tennis courts and a cross-country course. Games, PE and swimming are all timetabled in the curriculum.

During games lessons, girls play netball, hockey and rounders and the boys play rugby, football and cricket. The all weather surfaces are perfect for tennis, which is a very popular sport in the School.

Boys and girls are taught together in a well-equipped gymnasium for PE and the curriculum includes apparatus, floor work and dance. Swimming is taught in Mill Hill School's new indoor heated swimming pool.

There are school fixtures in all the major sports and in many of the minor ones too, with opportunities to compete in national tournaments. The most talented youngsters are promoted to County trials and the School has children representing the County in cricket, hockey and tennis.
