The Arts
Belmont's reputation for producing high-quality drama is so well known, that casting directors regularly visit the School. Children in every year group have the opportunity to perform on stage in the school's chapel or Mill Hill Studio Theatre, whilst drama teaching is incorporated within the curriculum. Talented actors are encouraged to audition for the 13+ Drama Award at Mill Hill School.
All children receive a class music lesson twice weekly and over half play a musical instrument. There are opportunities to belong to the orchestra, one of two choirs, the wind band, flute group, saxophone group, percussion ensemble or string quartets.
Year groups perform choral works in the two major concerts each year, and informal concerts take place each term. Belmont's musicians and choristers often perform out of school, for charity or other functions and have undertaken tours to sing and play at major European venues such as Notre Dame and Disneyland in Paris.
